Modern love meets 70’s vintage funk! This retro inspired elopement designed by Melissa Alison Events and captured by Lily and Grey Photo Co., combined contemporary elements with vintage touches, at a fun new brewery venue in Calgary.
The warm colour palette for this intimate wedding shoot was juxtaposed by the stunning monochromatic floral arrangement that donned the length of the sweetheart table. Vintage gold rimmed glasses and dinnerware, along with a bold wine coloured menu, were complimented by champagne velvet napkins.
With it’s off-white crepe tiered bell sleeves and high neckline, the Sophia gown by Sistene, from Lovenote Bridal, provided just the right amount of 70 vibe. The groom wore a vibrant ochre suit jacket and a funky floral bow tie, while the bride wore clay and gold drop earrings. A triple set of stunning 70’s inspired diamond and quartz rings for our bride, and an intricate white and yellow gold wedding band for our groom added another touch of retro.
A yellow vanilla caramel cake, coupled with crème brule, raspberry, and vanilla bean macarons and passionfruit and caramel donuts were served vinyl records and a record player to provide a nod to the retro elements of the 70’s.
