What do you get when you mix a love for Italian culture and breweries? An intimate Tuscan elopement at Calgary’s newest brewery/distillery, Veranda, designed and styled by Melissa Alison Events. A restaurant collaboration between Vacay Brew Co and Burwood Distillery, Veranda is a rustic yet modern venue, open to hosting weddings and events year round, with delicious in-house food and locally brewed beer and spirits.
Photographer Lily and Grey Photo Co expertly captured the beauty of this shoot, where olive and sage greens were the prominent colours inspiring this overall vibe. Fall for Florals designed and created the beautiful soft, yet eye-catching florals, with colour accents of terracotta and burgundy. An emphasis on contrasting textures was apparent through the exposed brick walls, soft cheesecloth runners, bold gold-dipped cutlery and wicker-backed dining chairs. Modern Rentals décor finished off the tablescape with vintage candlesticks, modern glassware, and unique gold-rimmed charger plates.
Our bride wore a Martina Liana dress provided by The Bridal Boutique, while our groom looked contemporary yet classic in a deep green suit from Ed Williams Menswear. Our real couple wore rings created by Alberta Diamond Exchange, and our bride’s beauty was accentuated with hair and makeup services by Leeanne Pilkington.
Northern Honeycakes provided some delicious loveheart-shaped sugar cookies, while the vintage styled stationary suite was designed by the talented Petite Paperie Design Co from Vancouver Island. The shoot also featured a ornate vintage rotary phone converted into a guest book, from Confetti Call.
