When Laine and Parker said “I do” at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel in Calgary, it was more than just another wedding. It was a beautiful experience filled with meaningful details, stunning florals, and of course, loved ones. Our team had the honour and joy of supporting such a wonderful, loving couple as they celebrated with 245 of their closest family and friends, and the result was one of our biggest weddings to date!
The couple wanted a timeless, romantic, classic wedding – and what better venue that this downtown historic building. The aesthetic for the day was build around neutrals, golds, and most of all, an abundance of florals (including garden-grown blooms personally chosen by Flowers by Janie). A mix of gold chairs, and glass vases, brought more drama to the design. Laine and Parker’s day was beautifully captured by Kadie Hummel Photography and captured in video by Revel Photography.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a nod to the couple’s daily ritual – a personalized crossword puzzle inspired by the morning crosswords Laine and Parker solve together. Each guest also received a handwritten letter from the couple incorporated through a seating chart, making the celebration feel like an intimate gathering of close friends and family. Uptown Strings provided both ceremony music, and a fun jazz vibe to cocktail hour, with the reception dancefloor packed with the help of Pez Productions.
The photos speak for themselves – the day was unforgettable, and we will truly miss working with Laine and Parker!
